assistance that they could only help if the woman were willing
to make an allegation of abuse. Jane said she was amazed at how
often that within 5 or 10 minutes of referring women to Utah
Legal Services the women called back saying, I need to report
abuse on the part of my husband (or ex-husband, or boyfriend, or
ex-boyfriend). Legal Services and their associates should get
no public funding. |
