shows why Legal Services Corporation should be unfunded. |
| Given this level of scrutiny, Legal Services lawyers have generally been
adept at hewing to the maze of rules with which political opponents have
circumscribed their activities when efforts to pull the budget plug
failed. Its a bit surprising that employees of North Carolinas
Farmworkers Legal Services were caught earlier this year in Mexico,
counseling migrant laborers contrary to their own agencys regulations.
The rules say non-citizens can only be helped on American soil. |
| My ex-wife went to them asking for free legal help. Because she
doesnt have to claim my child support as income, she looks poor
on paper so they provided her an attorney to help her pursue
false allegations of child abuse against me. |
| As a result of this indiscretion, the Legal Services of North Carolina
subsidiary that has served migrant farmworkers will be out of business
at the end of the year. And Legal Services of North Carolina will pay a
fine equal to the $17,050 in tax funds spent on two weeks work south of
the border.
